Exhibitions: Portrait of a Changing Italy

Alex MacLean was invited by the General Management for Contemporary Art and Architecture (DARC) in Rome, Italy to be a part of a group exhibition: Portrait of a Changing Italy.

Along with fifteen other photographers (including Massimo Vitali, Andrea Botto and Paul Seawright) Alex MacLean photographed around the subject of Landscape Risk in Italy.

Alex focused his efforts towards tourist consumption on the East and West coasts of Italy, capturing the endless rows of beach umbrellas, towering hotels, and every last inch of the landscape being used by beach goers.

The opening reception for Portrait of a Changing Italy was held at the Museum of Art for the XXI Century (MAXXI, formerly The Contemporary Art and Architecture Centre) in Rome, Italy on October 16, 2007

The show is now part of the International Photography Show in Reggio Emilia, Italy. For more information, please visit the website.
